Plastic Vent pipes
used in heating systems can crack or separate at the
joints and leak CO. These are being recalled and
need to be replaced. They can be identified by the
color which is gray or black and are labeled
Plexvent, Plexvent II or Ultravent

York recalls Diamond 80
down flow, mid-efficiency furnaces with model
numbers starting with P2DP,PBKD, and XED02 due to
insulation falling into the heat exchanger.

Trane recalls accessory
electric heaters used to provide
supplemental heat in heat pump or electric heating
systems due to cycling on /off causing excessive
heat and a fire potential.

Rheem recalls electric
furnaces and air handlers for repair due
to heating elements disintegrating and expelling
small particles of molten metal through the duct
system into the living area.

Recall to Repair of Gas
Boilers; The
burners on these boilers could produce excess carbon
monoxide (CO) in the flue, due to improper
combustion, posing a risk of CO poisoning to
consumers.

240 Volt Through Wall Air
Conditioners manufactured by White
Consolidated Industries recalls air conditioners
which can short circuit posing a risk of fire, shock
and burn injuries to consumers. They were sold under
the following brands and model numbers: Frigidaire
FAH096J2T1; White-Westinghouse WAH09EH2T1 and
WAH096H2T1; Kenmore 253.79093990 and 253.70093000.
The brand name is written on the front of the air
conditioner under the control dial.

Goldstar, General Electric and
Sears portable Dehumidifiers recalls due
to an internal electrical connection which can
overheat causing a potential fire hazard. These
units were sold in department stores between January
1999 through December 1999.

Propane Regulator Recalls
involving regulators which can leak propane, which
can result in fire or explosion. Please note that
these regulators are not the type typically used
with propane barbecue grills.
Lawnmower recalls walk-behind
lawn mowers sold under the Ariens,
Scotts, and Husqvarna brand names. The piece
attaching the blade to the mower can crack and break
off. The broken piece or the blade can be propelled
from underneath the mower, possibly injuring the
operator or a bystander.
Dangerous Brass Flexible Gas
Connectors Used on Home Appliances can
leak or break open causing a fire or explosion.
